Almond College was more than just the secondary school I attended, it was the place that prepared me for life beyond the classroom. It shaped me into the best version of myself and helped me grow toward attaining my full potential.
Looking back, I can confidently say I had the privilege of learning under some of the most dedicated and brilliant minds for teachers. The learning environment was not only hands-on but deeply enriching. I gained practical experience that made me stand out in several ways. I was also opportune to learn alongside various individuals from their unique backgrounds, learning new things from one another. Together, we shared experiences, ideas, and knowledge that broadened our horizons.
Almond college gave me a platform to experience competitions which heavily influenced my diction and vocabulary such as; Spelling bees, Spoken word competitions, Essay-writing competitions etc.
These are opportunities that helped refine my skills and confidence in public expression.
Above all, Almond taught me what it means to be a leader with a difference. The school instilled in me a rigid sense of leadership with empathy and purposeful leadership.
They taught me how to be a leader with compassion, responsibility, and integrity.
My time in almond was definitely one I cannot forget, as it has shaped me and defined me in several ways.
Now, as a 300-level undergraduate and the incoming General Secretary of my university’s student union, I carry the lessons and values Almond placed in me everywhere I go.
This is not a position I went for, but one I attained because of the qualities pillars of leadership saw imbibed in me.
I will forever be grateful to almond for the Knowledge I attained.
Thank you, Almond College, for igniting the path to a brighter future. I am forever grateful for the discipline, growth, and memories.
Lastly, I can say that I have indeed exceeded expectations.
